Terms & Conditions
The agreement between your church and CFOLD when you use the service.
Who we are
CFOLD is a church management service operated by MurFx ("CFOLD", "we", "us"). These terms apply to anyone who creates an account, is invited to one, or uses cfold.org.
By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you are accepting them for a church, you confirm you are allowed to do so on its behalf.
Using the website
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy a plan.
- You agree to give accurate, current information when you sign up and pay, and to keep it up to date.
- You may not use cfold.org or the service for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.
The service
CFOLD lets a church keep its people, families, groups, events, rosters, attendance, giving records, prayer requests and related information in one place, and share selected pages with its congregation.
We may improve, change or retire features over time. If a change removes something your church relies on, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
Your account
- The person who creates a church's account is its first Super Admin and is responsible for who else they invite and what role they give them.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your login.
- Tell us straight away at hello@cfold.org if you believe your account has been used without permission.
Your church's data
Your church owns the information it puts into CFOLD. We process it only to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your church is responsible for having a proper basis to record information about its members and visitors, including children, and for keeping it accurate. Only record what you need.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use CFOLD for anything unlawful, or to store content you have no right to hold.
- Try to access another church's data, or to bypass the roles and permissions in the app.
- Interfere with the service, overload it, or probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission.
- Resell or give access to the service to anyone outside your church.
Plans, fees and billing
- CFOLD costs LKR 2,990 per church per month for churches in Sri Lanka, and US$10 per church per month elsewhere, billed monthly. The price is shown on cfold.org and includes every feature.
- Our first 10 churches pay a founding price of LKR 2,500 per month, which stays the same for as long as the church keeps its subscription. If a founding church cancels and later returns, the standard price applies.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- By choosing a plan you authorise us to charge the plan price, plus any applicable taxes, to the payment method you provide, at the start of each billing period.
- Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, PayHere. We never see or store your full card details.
- We may refuse or cancel a payment or an account where we suspect fraud or unauthorised use, or where a price was shown in error.
- If we change our prices, we will tell you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next renewal.
- Any bank, card or currency conversion fees charged by your own bank are yours to pay.
Free trial
Every new church gets 14 days free, with no card needed. When it ends the account is paused until you choose a plan or ask us for more time. Nothing is deleted when a trial ends, and your records are kept for at least 30 days so you can pick up where you left off.
Cancellation and termination
- You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is unpaid, or that puts other churches or the service at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.
- After an account is closed, we delete the church's records within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.
Delivery, refunds and cancellation
CFOLD is delivered online, with no physical shipping; see our Service Delivery Policy. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Availability
We work to keep CFOLD available and your data safe, but we cannot promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Planned maintenance may occasionally make it unavailable for a short time.
Our intellectual property
CFOLD's software, design, name, logo and the content of cfold.org belong to us or our licensors. These terms give your church the right to use the service while your account is active; they do not transfer ownership of any part of it.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or modify any part of the service or the website without our written permission. Your church's own records remain yours.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, CFOLD is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to your church for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use CFOLD afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and disputes are subject to the courts of Sri Lanka.
